Refund Policy

Protocol Draft LLC ("we," "us," or "our") is committed to ensuring your satisfaction with KostKube. This Refund Policy describes the conditions under which we will issue refunds for paid KostKube subscriptions. Payments are processed by Paddle.com Market Ltd ("Paddle"), our Merchant of Record.

This Refund Policy is incorporated into our Terms of Service by reference.

1. 14-Day Money-Back Guarantee

We offer a full refund within 14 days of any paid purchase or renewal — no questions asked.

If you are not satisfied with KostKube for any reason, you may request a full refund within 14 calendar days of your initial purchase date or your most recent auto-renewal charge. This guarantee applies to all paid plans: Pro, Business, and Enterprise.

The 14-day period begins on the date your payment is charged — either the date you initially subscribe to a paid plan or the date your subscription renews. Refunds are not prorated; you will receive a full refund of the amount charged for that billing period.

We want to understand why KostKube didn't meet your needs so we can improve, but we will not deny a refund request made within the 14-day window for any reason.

2. How to Request a Refund

To request a refund, send an email to support@kostkube.com with the following information:

  • The email address associated with your KostKube account
  • Your Paddle order number or transaction reference (found in your billing receipt from Paddle)
  • The reason for your refund request (optional, but appreciated)

Our support team will review your request and respond within 2 business days. Once approved, we will initiate the refund through Paddle on your behalf.

You may also contact Paddle directly through their buyer support portal at paddle.com to request a refund, as Paddle is the Merchant of Record for your transaction.

3. Refund Processing

Approved refunds are processed through Paddle.com Market Ltd, who originally charged your payment method. Once we confirm your refund with Paddle, the refund is initiated immediately. The time for the refund to appear on your bank statement or credit card typically takes:

  • Credit and debit cards: 5–10 business days, depending on your card issuer
  • PayPal: 3–5 business days
  • Wire transfer (Enterprise): 5–10 business days

Refunds are issued in US Dollars (USD). If your bank account is in a different currency, the exchange rate at the time of the refund will apply. We are not responsible for any differences due to currency fluctuation.

4. Refunds After 14 Days

We do not offer refunds for subscription periods after the 14-day window has passed. However, you retain the right to cancel your subscription at any time. If you cancel after the 14-day window, your subscription will remain active until the end of the current billing period, after which it will not renew.

In exceptional circumstances — such as service outages lasting more than 24 consecutive hours, billing errors, or duplicate charges — we will consider refund requests beyond the 14-day window on a case-by-case basis. Please contact support@kostkube.com to discuss your situation.

5. Free Trial

KostKube Pro and Business plans offer a 14-day free trial with no credit card required. No payment is charged during the free trial period. If you do not provide payment information and choose a paid plan before the trial ends, your account automatically converts to the Starter (free) plan.

Because no payment is charged during a free trial, there is nothing to refund. The 14-day money-back guarantee applies from the first paid charge, not from the start of a free trial.

6. Annual Subscriptions

Annual subscriptions are charged as a single lump-sum payment at the start of the annual billing period. The 14-day money-back guarantee applies from the date of each annual payment. If you subscribe to an annual plan and request a refund within 14 days of the payment date, you will receive a full refund of that annual payment.

After the 14-day window, annual subscriptions are non-refundable. We do not offer pro-rated refunds for the unused portion of an annual subscription after 14 days have passed since the payment date. You may cancel your annual subscription at any time, and your access will continue until the end of the annual period you have paid for.

If you are switching from an annual plan to a lower-tier plan, the change will take effect at the start of the next annual billing period. You will not receive a refund for the difference in plan price for the current period.

7. Downgrades

You may downgrade your plan at any time. Downgrades take effect at the start of the next billing period. You will continue to have access to your current plan's features until the end of the billing period you have paid for.

Downgrades do not result in partial refunds for the current billing period. If you downgrade within the first 14 days of a billing period and would prefer a refund instead, please contact support@kostkube.com and we will process a refund for that period under our 14-day guarantee.

8. Chargebacks

We strongly encourage you to contact us at support@kostkube.com before initiating a chargeback with your bank or credit card issuer. In most cases, we can resolve billing disputes quickly and issue a refund directly, which is faster than the chargeback process.

Initiating a chargeback for a charge that was legitimate or for which a refund was already granted may result in suspension of your KostKube account. We will cooperate fully with Paddle and payment providers in resolving chargeback disputes.
